I started my career working with graphic design in books, magazines and CD covers. Some years later, I went to packaging design, producing for the food and toy industry.
After 7 years of experience, I finally felt confortable to start as a freelance illustrator. So, since 2005 I am an illustrator full time, working from my own "home" office, doing illustrations for packaging and graphic design, publishing, advertising and everything that needs to be illustrated.

" I'm Chandra Michaels, but most people today know me by the name Sugarluxe. I am a self-taught artist and designer.

On a more formal note: After undergrad I wanted to pursue a Masters in Cognitive Psychology and it's the time I spent in the Ed Psych department that first helped me to hone in on the power of imagery and its effect on your mind and mood."

1. Hello Nick, tell us something about yourself, where you're from and how you got started in this field? Did you have any formal training or are you self taught?

I'm a Toronto based illustrator and designer. I run: N.Design Studio, Web Designer Wall, Design Jobs on the Wall, Best Web Gallery, and IconDock. I was first introduced to Adobe Photoshop by my high school art teacher and then I decided to get into graphic design. I attended Humber College for a two-year program, Advertising and Graphic Design. My web and CSS skills are self taught from online tutorials, books, and experiments.
